I am a 47 years old female. I am a Type I diabetic since last 20 years. I am taking insulin and sugar is under control. Lately I am developing cramps in my hand finger tips which aggravated in sleeping position. What is this problem called and how can this be treated.

Can't say for sure but could be due to neuropathy due to diabetes or any other cause. Kindly elaborate on your symptoms. Include vit b12 rich food in your diet. (like meat fish) or take over the counter available suppliments. Include exercise in your routine. Focusing on your back also. But never involving too much bending and lifting weights together. These are few things coming to my mind with your limited history. You can get back to me if you want more information on d same.
