I have severe constipation. Morning I take a cup of hot water and a cup of coffee. Then I get the nature call and I sit in the toilet but it is very difficult for passing motion. This has been there for the last 30 years. Usual medicine has no effect. Pl advise.

Dear Lybrate reader drink 3 or 4 glasses of warm water 30 minutes before going to toilet. Don't drink coffee or tea especially on emty stomach. 1.brisk walking/yoga /playing game for 30 minutes daily. 2.eat more boiled vegetables 3.eat green leafy vegetables- 4.check whether you are taking medications which cause constipation.
