Is it safe to take antidepressant tablets lonazep .25 twice a week for treating depression in long term?

Lonazep is a benzodiazepine that is useful for short term management of conditions like anxiety, panic attacks, etc.
It is not an antidepressant  per se, it can be prescribed in depression to help to manage agitation, excessive worry, etc.. It can be used occasionally as needed for short periods. Long term regular usage will not be helpful as it can cause dependence problems
If depression is the main problem,  discuss with your doctor to consider medication like SSRIs which can be taken long term. Also consider counselling/ CBT psychological support

Hello,
Lonazep is a Benzodiazepine which is used as sleeping pills or immediate anxiety relief.  This is not your main medication for depression. Long term use of lonazep can cause dependence. Consult nearby psychiatric centre or consult online for proper management.
