Hello, Thanks for the query. i have seen the details given. With HbA1c% of 5.9% his blood glucose is very well controlled. As regards TSH at his age it should be around 5 mU/L. (14.25 mU/L is high.). As regards his weight and height please let me know whether his height is 6feet 3 inches (185 .5 cms)? If that is correct then he too underweight. Good glucose control and additional protein intake and some regular exercise should help in adding some weight. Thanks.

According to you, your father s is 190 cms tall, with fairly good control of blood sugar. His weight has come down from 62 to 58 in 6 months. If he is avoiding carb diet for the past few months, weight loss may be because of that. But anyway considering his age, it is better to go for some other tests too to rule out any other problem. Thyroid medication too needs dose adjustment.
