Hello - alprax (alprazolam) is used for short term management of anxiety. - why was it prescribed by your doctor? Use alprax only as needed as it can cause dependence if used for a longer period - you can take 0.25 mgs when feeling anxious, maximum three times a day. - ideally don't take it beyond a week or two. It will not be helpful if taken for a longer period - if you are having persistent problems with anxiety or panic or other emotional issues, consult your doctor for considering other medication like ssris. Also counselling will be helpful take care.
