I am 68 years old, a diabetic patient. My fbs is 132 and pp is 226, hba1c is 8.2. My physician prescribed gemer ds 4 before breakfast and oxramet xr 10/1000 before lunch. Are these medicines suitable for me and not high doses for me? An early reply is earnestly solicited.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. It is difficult to say whether the dosage is high or not. However, considering you are 68 years old, and blood glucose is not too high, it appears that current medications prescribed appear to be a bit high. Particularly 4 mg of Glimiperide is quite high. Plus Dapagliflozin and metformin combination can reduce glucose failry rapidly. If you have any questions plrase do come back. Thanks.
