I am diabetic and has undergone renal transplant on 14/5/19.1 am on insulin apidra and take. Now my creatinine is 1.2,no protein in urine, electrolyte normal, at 70 kgand height 5.7.i am on immunopressent drugs and wysolone. Although exercising daily and diet control sugar varies. Recently hb1ac. 6.8 previously was 7.9.fasting usually 140 to 150. Plus I take glycomet 500 sr at lunch. Please suggest how to lower fasting. Toujeo I take 16 units at bed time.

To control fasting blood sugar either start glycomet with dinner also or increase the dose of toujeo.

Even if if you reduce it by 8 to 10% fasting glucose will definitely come down. Conversely you may increase 2 units of night time insulin and check fasting glucose next day.
