Hi, my wife is one and a half month pregnant. Yesterday, we visited a gynecologist and she suggested us to undergo ultrasound which later on confirmed 6.5 week pregnancy and everything normal. She then prescribed 2 medicines to my wife (gestin and goodmorn) to be taken regularly for a month. But as soon as my wife took the first dose of medicine she started feeling uneasy (she never felt nausea before that) and after few hours she noticed little blood spots. However the blood spots are not there now, but she noticed it once. We had a previous history of miscarriage (post which she had to undergo dnc) about a year back. Her periods are regular. Her age is 30 years and weight 75 kg. There is no chronic illness. blood pressure, sugar, thyroid everything is under control. My question 1. Is the spotting normal? 2. Is there any chance it could happen due to medicines? 3. Most importantly please guide me is it fine if we stop taking medicines now. Since my wife is no way going to take them and this is worrying me a lot. 4. Is there any alternate apart from medicines at least during the first trimester? please guide as I desperately need the answers to these questions.
