What is the difference between mesacol od 1200 mg (melasamine prolonged release tablets ip) and mesacol 800 mg (melasamine delayed release tablets usp). I want to reduce my medicine power that's why I am taking them in alternative days. But I was told that adult must not reduce power less than 1200 mg. Is there any problem if I do so? My age is 24 and I am taking it from five years, started from rowasa 3gm sachet to 1200 mg but now I don't want to live my whole life on medicine. Please suggest me minimum medication required for my good health so that problem must not start again (ulcerative colitis grade 4: in starting before 5 years)
