Dear docs greetings of the day! please guide me, if a patient is on art therapy (bcz of hiv positive) and his cd4 count is 810, viral load isnu detectable, now his doctor want to start isoniazid (which is a antituberculousis drug) along with vitamin b6, just for a prevention/precaution and that too for 6 months. So shall the patient should take this additional medicine? As a pharmacologist what I know that ant tb medicines have antagonistic action on art medicines, also they have lots of side effects in some case renal dysfunction too. Please help me regarding this. Regards.
