Hi, I am 60 years ,92 kgs, 154 cms active female, with high bp & sugar (6.7 hb1) ,had laparoscopic uterus+both ovaries+both tubes removal on 20th aug 2018-feeling good, at times sudden suction -type pain in & around stitches, resumed normal house work 1 week back, taking normal diet with Ca & Fe (both OD) ,becosules & vit d ,gluformin 1000 mg BD, olmat h-40 OD, nebistar 25 mg OD, aspirin 0D (night)----am I going well, by when can I start driving, any other suggestions/precautions-pl guide.

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. You seem to be doing quite well, post surgery. HbA1c% 6.7 shows very good control of diabetes. As regards driving it depends on how well and comfortable you feel. Because driving as such doesn't put any great strain. My only suggestion is looking at your weight and height you are excessively over weight with a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 38.81 kgs, closer to morbid obesity. This is a real hindrance for movement and for keeping tight control on diabetes. You will have to seriously consider reducing at least 5 to 8% of current weight. Strict diet (intake has to be based on 55 kgs not on 92 kgs) and, regular exercise. Thanks.
