Hello doctor, I am from Tripura (small state from India) my mother is above 45 age and she have high B.P with high diabetic sugar, also she use medicine regularly to control B.P and diabetic which is now in normal condition. But she feel so weak, also she can't do her regular work. (i am worried about my mother) my friend asking me to give her "Suddh Shilajit Capsules" as daily basis. Should I go for shilajit to my mother? Please replay.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I am aware of Tripura a north eastern state, very much the part of our great country. It would have be better if you had mentioned her actual details like fasting, PP glucose levels, HbA1c%, BP readings, her diet pattern and extent of daily exercise. Plus weight & height. The feeling of weakness could be due to improper glucose control. Ideally when in control Fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. If she maintains these levels then fitness will be always there. As regards giving her shilajit I am really not aware being a doctor having studied modern medicine. Thanks.
