I am 35 years old Male (obese). I've got my routine blood test done recently and ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE (ALP) value is 144. However, report says normal range is 53 - 128. Should I be concerned about it?

It could be due to Fatty Liver. For your ideal weight of 62-65 you are carrying about 45 kgs extra weight on your body. This is going to put pressure on all your organs and could lead to several health problems in next 5 years. It would be a good idea to start off a health improvement plan and get fit in the next two years. Consult a dietitian. Join some fitness/Yoga classes. Change your lifestyle, change your life. Hi, lybrate-user as Dt. Riyaz said you are carrying almost 40+ kg of extra weight, and you should start changing your lifestyle from today. Do at least an hour or 45 minutes of walking, jogging, or yoga, or join a gym. Avoid sugar and refined flour products and avoid outside food because it has more sugar and salt in it. Add more vegetable and fruits in your diet and drink a good amount of water and if you want a customized diet plan, you can contact me through Lybrate or you can book an appointment.
