My fasting blood sugar level is 141 and non fasting PP is 96. Is this sign of diabetes. My age is 53 year, female.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Blood glucose level is usually checked in the following manner: Fasting glucose, which done after 8 to 10 hours after food (preferably dinner), PP: 2 hours after food and random, that is tested during anytimme of the day. There is nothing like "non fasting" Plus HbA1c%, which will give a clear idea of glucose levels for previous 3 plus months. Fasting above 126 mg is usually considered diagnostic for diabetes and PP 200 mg and above is also considered as diabetes. Thanks.
