6 months back I got injured while playing football and was diagnosed with acl tear & doctor advised for arthroscopy but I did not go for surgery. Now after 6 months of injury without surgery I do not have any pain in my knee but the only reason to worry is my thigh muscles. I am finding that they are going weaker and weaker time to time. I only need a suggestion that whether to go for surgery or not. Is there any alternate to get cure from it.

Hi See if it is partial tear then no need of surgery Second important thing is if only acl ligament is involved then ok but other ligament like pcl and meniscus if this all are involved then surgery is MUST. And only ACL tear then it can be conservatively managed by physiotherapy. Physiotherapy has a vast scope in ACL ligament injury. You can consult a near by physiotherapist center for rehabilitation then make sure you repeat an MRI Scan for further treatment.
