MRI Scan - Upper Limb Plain and Contrast Test

An MRI scan of the upper limb is often carried out to image the limb to study and analyze the limb in

The lab technician would require you to disrobe and to wear a hospital gown; he would then ask you to remove all forms of metal and in case of an implant or pacemaker, your doctor would opt for another form of imaging. Once you have prepped yourself, then the technician would inject a contrast dye, which should result in clearer pictures of the underlying tissue, cells and bone. You would be required to lie down in the machine which would then generate a three-dimensional image of the limb in question.
