Hi, my age is 30 years and I am an athlete, I am insulin dependent diabetic from last 8 years now, I use 20 units of huminsulin 30/70 in the morning and 18 units of the same in the night, along with that I take glyciphage sr500 mg in the morning after breakfast and jalra 50/500 mg after lunch. Recently from last 3 months I have lost almost 7 kgs of weight which includes most of my muscles, am a endurance athlete and losing so much of muscle is effecting my performance, I follow a strict diet without sugar, Please suggest what should I do?

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have gone through the details. There's no mention of current glucose levels (fasting & PP)& HbA1 c%, to understand how good is the glucose control. Plus no mention of height to know what should be ideal body weight. I also would like to know your dietary pattern in detail and extent daily exercise. Then only will be able to comment. Thanks.
