My problem is with my son's skin colour. He is 14 years old. I am his mother. My son overall has a brownish complexion but his face, cheeks, legs, arms and hands are darker probably as they remain exposed to the sun. He is suntanned. I am quite fair. I don't know why his legs are so brown as he wears full pants outdoors. His arms are tanned though he wears half shirts outdoors. I have tried sunscreen but it didn't work. I check his skin colour everyday before and after school by forcing him to wear an underwear only. I find that during the day he has tanned. This doesn't happen to other boys. He came back home from school and I forced him to wear an underwear and sit so that I can determine his skin colour. He was as if shining brown. Furious, I slapped his cheek hard enough to leave alternate red and brown marks on his cheeks. It was Sports Day and he had to wear shorts to run. I was disappointed. His legs will surely tan. He lost the race. When back home, I got angry for his loss and kicked his legs and scratched his arms. It left red marks on the tanned skin. He screamed in pain. It really hurt. I found he looks most tanned wearing an underwear and by putting oil on his entire skin. I want to make my son really fair. His friends are fair. I am also fair. I washed his legs thoroughly with soap and scrubber but the skin remained brown. If you tell darkness is a beauty, that is not an answer. I am fed up with his brownish complexion. Doctor, please tell me how I can make his skin fair and tell me where I can submit some photos of my son to you.
