Dear Lybrateuser, - Follow some tips for exercise & diet: - have a snack about an hour before exercise, can have a fruit like an apple with peanut butter or a banana or a cup of milk with chocolate or a handful of nuts or a wholegrain bread & cheese sandwich, also have one after the exercise - keep yourself well hydrated before, during & after exercise, have 1-2 cups of water 15-20 min before exercise, sip water during exercise & also increase intake after exercise as the environment temperature is high - increase your walking or jogging time & intensity over a week or ten days or as & when you are comfortable with the regimen, do not overstrain as it leads to tiredness & lethargy - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits, vegetables, whole grains instead of refined ones, protein rich foods such as eggs, lean meats especially seafood, milk & milk products, soya products, tofu, legumes, lentils, nuts -include a protein food in each meal & also as a snack in between meals as it is non fattening & provides continuous flow of energy, helps in building muscles - do moderate weightlifting for 10-15 min twice a week along with walking, jogging or swimming which will help in reducing weight & keep you fit & agile - also proper sleep for 7-8 hrs at night is necessary for the body to repair, relax & destress.
