Hi my dad is 72 years his HB is 4gm I have given him 4 PRC one month earlier and HB was 8.6.but now his HB is again come down to 6.8gm. His RBC is 2.5 million but wbc and platelets is OK. Dr. Suspect a plastic anemia and done bone marrow with biopsy. But in a plastic anemia RBC wbc and platelets all three are decrease so please guide me for same.

Hi lybrate-user your dad is suffering from recurrent anemia, this can be due to any reason I need to know your full CBC report and his history like nutritional, stool habit and organomegaly or b symptoms. This can be refractory anemia.
