Dry mouth during sleep to an extent is normal. Abnormally it occurs if you are under certain medications. We should know the medications to treat you. Another simple cause is the habit of mouthbreathing which may cause dry mouth. A more clear history and a proper oral examination is required for to arrive at a confirm diagnosis. Regarding treatment if it's to only an extent no treatment required. If severe you may have other findings like gingival problems, bad breath etc. We have to treat them all and eliminate the cause.
