Dear lybrate-user. Thanks for the question. The length of time it takes tests to discover an HIV infection depends on the test administered. The ELISA test, the test that you took, detects up to 95% of infections within 4-6 weeks. Most people develop detectable antibodies in 21-25 days. So at 24 weeks ELISA is almost conclusive. Take care.
