I had high BP for the First time. It measured above 150/110. Doctor gave me medicine for 10 days. I monitored the BP on daily basis. It was high for 3 days and then gradually came down. For past 3 weeks it is below 130/90. I have not continued with the medicine after 10 days. I have increased my daily walks and exercise to 1 hour. Should I continue with medicine as some people say that BP medicine should never be stopped?

Yes sir, no medicines should not be stopped. But the dose can be reduced and you can take low dose medicine daily. Now you are walking n exercising ,good. Keep checking bp every 15 days initially for some 2 months. So that doctors can change the dose according to your bp.

Yes, you can try without medicines. Continue regular BP check and exercise and take balanced diet. Too much restrictions in food are unhealthy.
