I feel the workout is causing some miscommunication between my mother and I. As I want a low in fat diet and the food prepared is fullon indian style with all the spice colours and oil dancing around. This miscommunication is kind of taking a toll on the relationship. I need some suggestions to get off this relationship mess due to workout. And discontinuing workout is no option.

Hi lybrate-user, take time to explain to your mother about why too much refined oil is bad for health and show her videos/talks on such topics. Work together as a team to reduce oil usage for both of your benefit. Also, Indian food is healthy if eaten in moderation. Some amount of herbs and spices are alright. Also, ensure you are eating dals, pulses, subzi, egg, chicken etc. Snack mostly on fruits and raw vegetables which need not have any cooking. You can also prefer some nuts. Please remember, end of the day, we should ensure what we do is giving us and people around us happiness. Mentally, we should be peaceful for maximum health. Else all this will not really help, if you are not happy emotionally. So try to create a balance. Talk to your mother openly and she will definitely understand and help. All the best!
