Hi lybrate-user, to know the thyroid disorder having or not in your body, you must go through blood test, i.e called thyroid profile which include 5 tests (T3 ,T4, TSH,FREE T3, T4. And they must be correlate with clinical symptoms of your body like weigh gaining, hair falling ,skin thinking. It is not necessary always the family history of thyroid problem, one may get with out family history. You just do have above test to get confirmation.
