82 years male, Diabetic from age-60, Overall person is active, in household work. Sodium level currently is 10% below normal. BP fluctuates. BP Drops to 50-90 sometimes in standing position. (2 out of 24 sampled, as measure on ambulatory monitor) BP is 90-180 when horizontal position. BP is 70-130 when siting with legs folded in. Pulse 60-80 most of the time. BP medicines started 1 years back. BP medicines were stopped a month ago, when BP was found low. After that Dr. Is trying variation in BP medicines. Some caused foot swelling. Some cause constipation, some cause weakness. scraping legs (ankle to calf) is use to avoid BP going low. How to deal with positional BP fluctuations.

HYPONATREMIA- LOW SODIUM occurs in diabetic and aged people. Add one pinch of salt more in diet, drink adequate water, this will settle down. Adviced to take single BP tablet, minimum dosage ,which suites him ,as per your doctor advice.
