Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Diabetes when continues for a long time (many years) does affect small and large blood vessels, nerves, eyes, kidney, lower limbs and heart. The damage to various organs does occur even with fairly good glucose control. But if a person has uncontrolled disease then complications are more severe. So peripheral neuropathy is a quite a commonly seen complication. Your B12 levels are high, which means there is no need for taking Nurokind (which contains B12). Strict blood glucose control is one of the prime requirements to control symptoms of neuropathy. If pain and burning sensation continue to cause problem, then you may take drugs like Gabapentine of pragabalin. But your BP needs to be controlled more effectively. It should be maintained around 120 to 130 /70 to 80 mm Hg. Thanks.
