I am 25 years old female suffering from runny nose & constant sneezing 24*7 almost everyday accompanied by watery eyes. Watery discharge comes out of my nose almost all the time & If I touch my nose I start sneezing. It's very irritating to live with this condition 24*7.I am unable to concentrate on anything. I also had sinus problem beforehand & also has allergy from dust. I have been suffering from this problem since 4-5 weeks, precisely since the advent of monsoon. I think the monsoon is what triggers this problem in me. I had the similar problem last years during the monsoon. Please help me with this & suggest me some remedies for it.

1. Avoid exposure to cold 2. Take bath with little warm water 3. Do steam inhalation regularly at least once a day 4. Warm salt water gargles daily 5 no cold water / cold drinks / ice creams and so on 6. No smoking 7. Wash hands after use of bath room and before and after eating food. 8 more warm liquids 9. Hi this suggesting early signs of asthma. If you have asthma in your family then you must treat it. Yes monsoon is the major trigger. Do's 1) close windows at night to avoid pollens 2) take regular medicines 3) do exercise and pranayama daily 4) diet should be healthy 5) keep bedroom clean and dust free 6) regular checkup at clinic 7) use a light color to wall as well curtains.(especially bedroom) 8) dinner should be taken before sunset. 9) Use mask while going out or apply coconut oil to nostrils 10) carry inhaler all the time (emergency) 11) massage to the chest and back warm with oil, afterward take hot fomentation. DON'TS 1) smoking -active or passive 2) exposure to allergens air pollution 3) avoid visit to gardens 4) stop the self medication. Paracetamol also increases the risk of asthma by 27 %. 5) Avoid outside food 6) avoid preserved packed food 7) oily food should be avoided 8) cold drinks and ice-creams.

Hello lybrate-user, I gone through your question. I want proper history regarding your diet habits, working schedule and sleep timings. But I suggest you some home remedies. Try with them, after apply them if you requires my help than consult through Lybrate. 1) Stop eating flour items, milk & milk products and Fruits of any type dry or fresh. 2) Take a Vapor from Boiled water with Ajwayan seeds. 3) Put 2 warm drops of Castor oil in both nostril on morning after bath and at night before sleep. 4) Take 25 gm Ajwayan Powder, 25 gm Saunth (Dry Ginger) Powder and 25 gm Haldi (Turmeric Powder) and mixed it properly. Take 1 Teaspoon morning empty stomach, Noon 1 hour before lunch and Evening 1 hour before dinner. I f this dose will suit you than increase dose up to 2 teaspoon gradually.
