I am diabetic & hypertensive also. Although the levels for both the ailments are well within control my recent routine urine RE revealed traces of protein. However my creatinine count is 0.79 & GFR is 102 My doctor has told me it is not alarming and not to worry. 24 hr settled urine albumin/creatinine test to be done after 3 months What additional precautions on diets etc to be taken. I am strictly following diabetic diet & exercise schedule.

Mr Arup, Thanks for the query. It is good to know that your blood glucose levels and BP are within prescribed limits. It would have been better if you had actually mentioned the fasting, PP levels and HbA1c%. Precautions to be taken are maintain a strict blood glucose control (Fasting :<100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8) and BP (120 to 130 / 70 to 80 mm Hg). Continue taking properly balanced diet that provides exact calories based on ideal body weight and continue regular exercise daily. Plus refrain from alcohol and smoking. Thanks
