My family diet is mainly consisting of wheat chapathi. I got diarrhoea for 3-4 months after consumption of tabs to kill bugs in stomach and then I got diagnosed of hypothyroidism. I think the tabs killed good bacteria and since I ate wheat then it might have resulted in leaky gut and my thyroid got attacked. My question is should I give up eating wheat, how should I know if the above concern was true? I'm taking eltroxin 150 mcg daily. My family doesn't have it in anyone, be it kid or a 90 year old.
