Hi, I am 51 years old lady suffering from diabetic. I am taking insulin actrapid in morning and afternoon and mixtard in night along with medicines. But still my sugar level goes up to 274. I am taking normal food, oily and fried things are totally discarded. Please suggest me what should I do. I am keeping my unbroken and in use insulin into fridge. Thanks, Neetu.

lybrate-user, It is essential to look at food intake, fasting glucose level and night Insulin dosage. If you are doing a self glucose monitoring at glucose, then it is possible to these adjustments. But you need to inform every reading taken like fasting, prelunch or pre-dinner. Then we can calibrate the insulin dosage to suit required quantity. Thanks.

Please Go for morning and evening walk regularly Take salads, vegetable juices and soups regularly Please increase the dose of insulin by 2 units in each dose
