My daughter has turned vegan recently . She is 18 and is studying at Pune . My concern is to ensure that she gets adequate nutrition as the veganism puts a whole lot of restrictions on her diet intake . I would be grateful for any inputs . Thank you.

Hello, Veganism means restriction of all animal products from your diet like milk,meat,fish,poultry. All these foods are best sources of Proteins,Calcium and other minerals.Thus other sources of proteins like soyabean, pulses and sprouts to be included in the diet.Calcium rich sources like Ragi,Bajra,Leafy vegetables, sesame seeds to be included in the diet.
