Hello my self bv raja 35 year male had spine surgery l5 open laminectomy s1 discectomy 1 year ago. Suddenly I bent forward to wash my hands from then again pain arrised. Took a recent mri my doctor's neuro surgeon said everything is fine but muscle crams. I am having severe pain in my left leg with radiating pain .no numbness. sometimes nerve pain is coming unable to request neuro neurosurgeon to do treatment. Using ultracet 2 times and gabapentin nt 1 time. I am on anti anxiety medicines.

The pain is neurological in origin and there is likelihood of it being chronic and you might need long term treatment, so in view of same it is imperative to ascertain that the medicines we consume don't have addiction potential. It would be wiser to discuss with your neurosurgeon to taper off and stop ultracet (containing tramadol, having risk of dependence) and simultaneously further build up dose of gabapentin along with optimisation of anti-anxiety treatment regime. It would be helpful and safer too in long term. Regards.
