Hello sir, 1 month back I had gone for a health checkup and the blood has been taken out in the laboratory for testing. During the removal of blood the nurse was using the same hand gloves which was contaminated with other's blood and same was applied on the cotton ball which was used to stop blood in the spot in my hand where they removed the blood. The cotton ball was colored red before using it in my hand. In recent days I have got a cough, light fever, tiredness and light amount of itching and rashes in my skin and small pimples on my face. I am really worried about the safety and hiv possibility due to the used gloves and blood-applied cotton ball. I seek your expert input and suggestions in this regard, also please suggest, should I get tested for hiv.

There is abosolutely no risk for hiv from this situation. Even if someone with hiv used this before you, way too much time would have passed between them and you for the hiv to be infectious anymore (it'd be dry and hiv cannot live in dried blood).
