Hello, Thanks for the query. With a BMI of 29.77 kgs/Sq meter, you are almost at grade 1 obesity. Your ideal weight should be about 72 kgs to have a BMI of 23 kgs/Sq meter. WHich means there is an excess of over 20 kgs. Since you have hypothyroidism, it is essential to maintain TSH around 3 to 4 mU/L, then only efforts to reduce weight will be successful. There is no mention of either the dose of thyroxine or TSH level. Unless hypothyroidism is well controlled weight reduction is difficult. If you loose 1.8 kgs every day on work out, then you should be able to reduce weight withou fail. To reduce weight most important is total caloric intake has to be based on ideal body weight that is 72 X 20 calories= 1440 calories a day. Since you have reduce weight there has to be a further reduction of almost 500 calories or 440 cals. WHich means your total daily intake has to be just 1000 calories a day. This means every thing that you consume in the day has to be considered. Thanks.
