Hello, I'm 46 yes old male. Today morning when I got up my lips, neck,hip, thigh were swollen and it was itching considerably. This is 4th time its happening like this. I conducted CBC test and report showed total count: 4200,Hemoglobin: 13,Platelet count221000, MPV 6.7.is it normal?

This is a condition called Urticaria. Means sudden onset of swelling or raised skin area with or without itching. Usually urticaria is two types Acute Urticaria and Chronic spontaneous Urticaria. In Kerala, most acute Urticaria is caused by mild viral infections. Patients may have mild sore throat or cough also may present along with allergic symptoms.
