Hi Lybrate user, As with most fruit, Jackfruit does have natural sugars. If you are type 1 taking insulin, then you should have no problem with at least a moderate amount. If you are type 2, eating a small amount, after eating food high in fiber and/or protein, you should also be ok. The danger is usually in eating too much at one time. Suggest to eat not more than two pieces /day/ twice a week. Because due to its sweet taste people tend to over eat, which is harmful for diabetics. So Jackfruit is not harmful for anyone and if you want to control your diabetes then you need to control on your consuming sugar from other ways,
