Well she might be having apprehensive anxiety about doing well in the exam. Excessive anxiety leads to depression. Depression caused by stress or exogenous depression tend to be worse in the evening. Please start talking to her, tell you love her and would continue to love her irrespective of the result. Reinforce the hardworking she has been doing and that is what is on her control. Exams are merely a way to test your knowledge and is not the ultimate. You can see a counsellor if necessary.
