Hello I am suffering from anxiety .my symptom are ibs .dizziness nausea. Stomach upset. Gas. indigestion. Confusion. Not clear vision etc .Doctor said that this all symptom show anxiety. Doctor give me opipramol 50 mg twice a day .I am on 12 weeks 50 %symptom are gone but not fully .Doctor give me dothiepin 75 mg .why opipramol not fully working .and how long dothiepin 75 mg start working.

Hi. The problems you have described are indicative of a certain type of anxiety disorder. Apart from medication you also need counselling and certain changes in life style. Worrying about why one particular medicine is not working and when the other would work will only increase your anxiety. So keep those thoughts aside. There are quite a number of medication. If you do not feel well with one there are alternatives. Discuss your problems as well as worries with Psychiatrist, incorporate physical activity in your routine and ensure adequate food intake and sleep.
