There is no permanent cure for type-2 diabetes. It can be well controlled with medicines which will help you having a normal healthy life span, not cured permanently. Sugar free sweets are a myth and a marketing gimmic to fool diabetes patients. A sweet apart from added sugar (sucrose) and contain milk solids (which contains milk sugar) and other materials like other carbohydrates which are nothing but complex sugars. SO when a sweet is prepared by adding a non calorie artificial sweetener instead of adding table sugar, the market it as sugarfree sweet which in fact still contains a lot of other sugars and hence false and milsleading.
