Hi. I am feeling lethargic and depressed most of the time. Lack of concentration and forgetfulness are some symptoms I am seeing in myself. Could be lack of vitamins.

Hi, Thanks for writing in; welcome to the forum. These problems could be due to a number of potential causes. One, as you rightly pointed out, could be deficincies of vitamin B12, D and folic acid. Other causes could include thyroid deficiency or decreased hemoglobin. Additional causes include anxiety and depression. Very often, it is a combination of these factors. So to be sure, please get a complete hemogram, vitamin B12, folate, vitamin D and thyroid profile done. Any deficiencies will have to be corrected. Additionally, a clinical evaluation to rule out subtle or gross signs and symptoms of anxiety/ depression will be needed. Take care!
