Hi lybrate-user First check the hours of sleep you take. An adult should take atleast 7-8 hours of sleep. This can be a reason of your drowsiness in the afternoon. Also get your eyesight checked if you have not. If you still have these symptoms consult a homoeopathic physician. You can contact me privately too. Takecare.

In the afternoon, our bio-rhythms tend to dip between 2 and 4 pm. In your case, there may be an extra low and so you can do some of the suggestions listed below: Go for a brief walk at this time, play some light game too, eat an afternoon meal of pure proteins, take some coke or tea or coffee to perk you up, you can take '40 winks' and feel totally refreshed, take a cold shower, meet with friends you like, etc. Once you get into a habit fro long enough, then you will feel a lot better at noon time.

Feeling tired in the afternoon is sometimes normal for all people and you check up your blood CBC and TSH and inform me (to make sure if you have anemia or hypothyroidism as a cause for this)

If you want better results while studying, revision is the key. Repeated revision consolidates the information in the brain and helps to retain the information. Other than that, try a daily exercise of recalling your entire day in as much detail as possible before you sleep. Initially only important or superficial details are recalled, but with practice minor details can also be recalled. Be more organized; make lists. Use acronyms and mnemonic devices to help you remember. Take 45 minute slots followed by a 5-15 minute break. Eat and at proper times. Drink plenty of water. Find time for exercise or meditation. Keep time for proper revision at end of study session. Revise before you sleep.
