My mom's who is 41 year old, bp has raised to 130/90 for last one week. She has a very bad head ache too. Does it a symptom of hypertension. If so how can the bp brought to normal? Is taking bp tablet is the only option?

B.p 130/90 at age of 41 cannot cause headache ,its prehypertensive stage ,medicines are given in prehypertensive phase only when bp does not return to normal even after 3 months of life style modification Brisk walking is advised 45 minutes of strenous exercise per day is to be done Add fibres to her diet Avoid fatty and high salt food Target bp is 130/80 for her Medicines are required only if we fail to achieve target 3minths post life style modification.
