Hello. I got my lipid profile tested. I have elevated levels of serum cholesterol as 242.4 mg/dl and serum triglycerides 277.4 mg/dl. Please tell now what to do to get normal values and after how much time should I check them next? Any medicines needed?

For reducing your cholesterol and triglycerides level you must pay little more attention to your diet. Avoid fried and fast foods, desert. Take foods which are high fiber like oatmeal, fruits and vegetables, flax seed which are high in Omega-3 fatty acids. Also you must maintain a balanced weight as per your height and age. And immediately consult doctor. There is a very good treatment in homeopathy.
