Dear lybrate-user, depression is a disease with diurnal variation. It is very typical of major depressive disorder to feel better after the sun comes up fully on top. Early morning awakening and feeling worst in the mornings are the usual complaints of mdd. You can consult a psychiatrist who after diagnosing will treat you. He may ask for few blood tests to rule out any other illness causing depression. Later you can go on antidepressant tablets, electroconvulsive therapy, cognitive therapy or a combination of these treatments. It depends on your preference, the side effect of the drugs, the amount of time and money you can spend on your treatment and of course on the severity of depression. There is a phototherapy, that is giving sunlight early in the mornings for 4 hours artificially. But it is not commonly practiced in india.

Dear lybrate user usually depression is the worst in the morning after getting up from sleep and even after long sleep hours you may not feel fresh and energetic. Depression usually has a cycle inwhich it improves by self in say 6 to 9 months. But as per research the more a person is in a phase of depression the worse permanent effects are there on the brain and the poor is the wellbeing. Thus in my opinion you need an urgent care from a psychiatrist. If you want to know more, feel free to contact.
