My father is aged 61. He has started taking bp medicines and beta blockers for past 3 months. Bp was in the starting stage and it's controlled now. No diabetes or other issues. His hemoglobin has dropped from 13.8 to 12 in 3 months. Why is this so? Is there any problem?

Hi, beta blockers are not responsible for falling hemoglobin. There might be various reasons like blood loss (git/ piles), iron or vitamin difficiencies, chronic kidney, spleen disease or blood cells issues. Few blood tests will guide us to confirm exact cause of low hemoglobin in this case. Can consult me through private section for detailed prescription & treatment.
