I am a 31 year old male. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure 160/110 mm of hg more than an year back. I was asked by my doctor for a full body blood and urine test. I my test report all parameters turned normal and only vitamin d3 was deficient which was later treated. My doctor immediately started the bp pill stating genetic factors as the reason for hypertension as my mother also has it. My bp reading at the same doctor 2-3 years prior to this reading came out to 140/90 but he did not start the pill and asked me to make lifestyle changes. I started with telvas 3d medicine but later the dose reduced to telvas am. Today my bp comes to around 120/80 under normal circumstances. Can I look at tapering down my medication further gradually and eventually eliminate the need of taking the pill? Want to mention here that I have been taking homeopathic treatment in parallel to this pill for treating hypertension and its helped a lot.
