My fasting blood sugar is high as compared to to pp recently fs 119 and pp 159 and my hba1c diagnose 6.6 my my taking metformin 500 mg at morning and evening.

As long as your fasting sugar is below 120 and postprandial below 160 you down need to be concerned. Your hba1c shows you are having excellent glucose control. You need to check your serum creatinine and blood pressure too.

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Both fasting and pp glucose levels are quite good as well as hba1c%, when you consider a person on the treatment for diabetes. Ideally in a well controlled diabetes patient fbg should be < 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%. At age 62 years, you are in good control. Please maintain the same lifestyle and treatment. Thanks.
