Hello sir on 18th may I checked my hb1ac it was 6.7,fbs 100 n ppbs 165. Doctor advised glycomet sr 500 once but when I checked at 30 th may on glucometer fbs was 149 n ppbs 195. Doctor advised janumet50/500 at night means twice tablet daily. Is it high dose or correct. Or else sugar ll be low .doctor is saying fasting is not in control its called dawn phenomenon. Shal I take only one tablet janumet 50/500 in morning.

With appropriate treatment usually in a well controlled diabetes patient fbg should be < 100 m, pp should be 150 to 160 mg particularly at your age. Another important aspect is your weight, with a bmi of 26 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter) your are over weight with an excess of about 10 kgs. This also does affect glucose control due to insulin resistance (ir). Therefore, it is important to look at reducing the weight by at least about 5 to 8 kgs. That will improve your glucose control much better. The treatment advised is quite good. Can you be specific about what you mean by "sugar will be low" it is important to look at your dietary intake & extent of exercise, as those aspect contribute more in glucose control.
