I have used alprax 0.25 once daily as per my doctor's prescription for about 30/32 days. Is it considered as long-term or short-term use? I am experiencing some withdrawal symptoms although I stopped it 8 days back? How long it will continue?

Alprazolam is a highly addictive and harmful medication, which needs to be used only for few days. It can cause cognitive decline, personality changes, withdrawal anxiety at times even seizures, etc. What was the reason alprazolam was given. It can be used maximum for 2 weeks only. Ideally if there is underlying insomnia or anxiety there are other safe alternatives which can be taken long time. Consult a psychiatrist online or in person for the same. Good luck.
